Almost festival time here in Auldest Reekie and so the invasion will begin. The rain is a bit weird though - one minute it’s sunny and dry the next torrential (!) rainfall like someone pulled out Gods bath plug. Climate change anyone? 
The more I learn about Scottish history the more silly the film Braveheart is - Robert the Bruce was about 16 and more worried about his spots than the Saes. Whether he did indeed have Mr Potato Head as a father I haven’t found out yet.
For those of you unfamiliar with Edinburgh history, Princes Street gardens in the centre of town used to be a large loch or lake for drowning witches - after yesterday’s weather I found a large pond developing. With rubbish building up in the streets Auld Reekie is making a comeback - black cats and broomsticks!
